The Maserati MC12 was developed as a high-performance homologation special, designed to return the iconic Italian marque to top-level motorsport. Introduced in 2004, the MC12 was built to comply with FIA GT1 regulations, serving as the road-going counterpart to the race-spec MC12 GT1. Limited to just 50 road cars (25 produced each year in 2004 and 2005), the MC12 shares its underpinnings with the Ferrari Enzo, but features extensive modifications, including a dramatic new carbon fibre body penned by Frank Stephenson. Longer, wider and more purposeful than the Enzo, the striking MC12 boasts both a lower drag coefficient and greater downforce. Uniquely, the car also features a removable hardtop roof offering a visceral, open top, driving experience.
At the heart of the MC12 is a 6.0 litre naturally aspirated V12, derived from Ferrari’s F140B engine, producing 621 horsepower and 481 lbs/ft of torque. This powerplant, mated to a 6-speed Cambiocorsa automated manual gearbox, allows the MC12 to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 205 mph. The lightweight carbon fibre monocoque chassis, combined with an advanced double-wishbone suspension setup, provides exceptional handling and stability.
While Ferrari focused on Formula 1 dominance, Maserati leveraged the MC12 to conquer endurance racing, securing multiple FIA GT Championships and victories at legendary circuits like Spa, Monza, and Mugello. The race-spec MC12 GT1 proved to be one of the most dominant GT cars of its era, winning a staggering 40 races between 2004 and 2010, including two victories at the Spa 24 Hours. Maserati secured six consecutive FIA GT1 Teams’ Championships (2005-2010) and five Drivers’ Championships, cementing the MC12’s place in motorsport history.
Undoubtedly the most significant Maserati of the 21st century and a true halo car for the brand, the MC12 marked Maserati’s triumphant return to both road and racetrack. Far more exclusive than its Ferrari counterpart, it stands apart from its contemporaries in both rarity and collectability.
Offered here is MC12 number 41 of just 50 examples built by Maserati, delivered new in April 2005 to Hong Kong. Like all but one of the production cars, it is finished in the iconic Bianco Fuji with Blu Victory accents over a blue leather interior. It presents in exceptional condition, having covered just 2,000 kms from new.
The car remained in Hong Kong until late 2024, when it was exported to Germany and subsequently registered there. Despite the minimal mileage, this MC12 has benefited from consistent maintenance throughout its life, with the most recent service carried out in March 2025 by Ferrari Gohm Böblingen.
It is offered today as EU registered, taxes paid and is complete with its original user manuals, service booklet, two keys, the MC12 Maserati collector’s book, and a comprehensive history folio. This includes a wealth of service and maintenance invoices, the Certificate of Origin, and the original 2005 sales invoice.
This MC12 represents a rare opportunity to acquire a superb, low-mileage example of Maserati’s ultimate hypercar. A true collector’s item, it would make a standout addition to any supercar collection. Please contact us for more information or to arrange a viewing.
